I Nephi 3:6, 31

  1. vs 6: Therefore go, my son, and thou shalt be favored of the Lord, because thou hast not murmured.
  2. vs 31: And after the angel had departed, Laman and Lemuel again began to murmur, saying: How is it possible that the Lord will deliver Laban into our hands?
  3. 1Nephi 4:4: Now when I had spoken these words, they were yet wroth, and did still continue to murmur.
  4. 1 Nephi 5:3: And after this manner of language had my mother complained against my father.
  5. 1 Nephi 15:2: And it came to pass that I beheld my brethren, and they were disputing one with another concerning the things which my father had spoken unto them.

1 Nephi 16:20, 36

  1. Vs 20 And it came to pass the Laman and Lemuel and the sons of Ishmael did begin to murmur exceedingly,…
  2. Vs 36: And thus they did murmur against my father, and also against me: and they were desirous to return again to Jerusalem.
  3. 1 Nephi 17:49: I Nephi, said unto them that they should murmur no more
  4. 1 Nephi 18:16: Nevertheless, I did look unto my God, and I did praise him all the day long and I did not murmur against the Lord because of mine afflictions.

  27. Helaman 11:22: And also they had peace…save it were a few contentions concerning the points of doctrine which had been laid down by the prophets.
  28. Helaman 13:22: Ye do not remember the Lord your God in the things with which he hath blessed you, but ye [have] great swelling envyings, strives, malice…and all manner of iniquities.
  29. Helaman 16:22: Satan did stir them up to do iniquity continually; yea, he did go about spreading rumors and contentions.
  30. 3 Nephi 6:13: Some were lifted up in pride, and others were exceedingly humble; some did return railing for railing, while others would receive railing and persecution and all manner of afflictions, and would not turn and revile again, but were humble and penitent before God.
  31. 3 Nephi 7:7: And they did cause a great contention in the land, insomuch that the more righteous part of the people had nearly all become wicked; yea, there were but few righteous men among them.

  34. 3 Nephi 30:2: Turn, all ye Gentiles, from your wicked ways; and repent of your evil doings, of your lyings and … your strifes, and come unto me.
  35. 4 Nephi 1:16 There were no more envyings, nor strifes, nor tumults.
